Living with leather

Vegetable-tanned leather darkens and develops a soft sheen (patina) with sunlight and handling; small scratches can be rubbed out with a fingertip. Every hide is slightly different, so natural marks and shade variations are part of the character.

Care

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. If the bag gets wet, blot it and let it dry slowly at room temperature, away from sun and heaters. Apply a neutral leather conditioner every three to four months, and store it stuffed with paper in the cotton dust bag provided. Keep uncapped pens and cosmetics out of the open compartment.
