When the temperature climbs, a rayon shirt is the most comfortable thing you can wear. Rayon (viscose) is made from wood pulp, feels cool against the skin and drapes loosely instead of clinging, which is why it is so popular for Indian summers and beach holidays.
Regular fit through the chest and waist with a little extra room in the shoulders. If you are between sizes, pick the smaller one for a neater look or the larger one for a relaxed holiday feel.
Rayon is weaker when wet, so wash it gently. Hand wash or use a delicate machine cycle in cold water, do not wring, and hang it on a hanger to dry in the shade. Iron on a low to medium setting, preferably from the reverse. Expect slight shrinkage (about 2 percent) after the first wash.
