A summer dress that is as comfortable as it is pretty. This maxi is made from soft cotton voile printed with small white flowers on an indigo base, and falls in three gathered tiers that swing as you walk.

Where to wear it

It works for brunches, holidays in the hills or by the sea, and casual Fridays. Add a denim jacket or a light shrug in air-conditioned rooms, and flat sandals or white sneakers on your feet.

Fit and care

The smocked back gives about two inches of stretch, so choose your usual size. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colours; indigo prints may release a little colour in the first few washes. Dry in the shade and iron on medium while slightly damp.
